About Canteen Goodman

Goodman invested in a dozen used candy machines and founded Goodman Vending in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Goodman Vending has over 78 years of experience in the vending and food service industry. In 1946 Erv Goodman returned home from World War II and with his mustering out pay bought a few used vending machines. In 1948 Erv hired his first employee 17-year-old Bill Buckholz. Bill thought it was the greatest job in the world as he was paid $25 a week and all the candy he could eat. Bill purchased the company in 1982. Bill’s son Tony grew up in the business and is currently the President and CEO.

Family owned and nationally recognized since 1946!

In 2015 we became a franchise of Canteen, the world’s largest convenience services provider. While remaining 100% family owned with our omnipresent family owned commitment and dedication to our clients, our affiliation with Canteen provides our company access to additional and exciting corporate resources. This gives us the ability to offer our customers the absolute best in convenience services products and cutting-edge technology.
